Purchase Mead Tasting tickets to sample locally crafted meads from across the Midwest, hosted from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the Arboretum’s Gerard T. Donnelly Grand Garden on Sunday, August 30.

Meet regional mead makers and learn how honey is turned into mead, while tasting craft varieties with distinctive floral and fruit-forward flavors.

Accessibility

Paved walkways throughout The Gerard T. Donnelly Grand Garden are accessible to wheelchairs and walkers.

Accessible restrooms are available in the nearby Visitor Center and West Pavilion. A large all-gender restroom with a changing table is also available in the West Pavilion.

Accessible parking spaces are available in parking lot P-1, an environmentally friendly parking lot with permeable concrete pavers. These pavers are uneven, but the accessible parking spaces and pathways from P-1 to the Grand Garden feature smooth pavers.

Manual wheelchairs are available for loan by visiting the Information Desk inside the Visitor Center, as are other aids for guests with special needs.
