Please note: Starting in 2024, the Champion of Trees 10K will be replaced by the Firefly Race Series, which features both a 3K fun run and a more challenging 10K course through rolling terrain along the Arboretum’s East Side. The Firefly 10K follows the same route as the previous Champion of Trees course.
Thank you to all who participated in the 2023 Champion of Trees 10K! It was a great day for 1,000 runners and walkers, who enjoyed one of Chicago’s most picturesque 10K courses on a beautiful spring morning. Participants ran or walked through a unique course with rolling terrain along the Arboretum’s East Side, gliding past trees from around the world and beautiful spring blooms.
