Little Acorns (in person)

Explore nature in a sensory-based program at The Morton Arboretum for children ages 18 to 35 months.

Content Detail

In this hands-on, sensory-based program at The Morton Arboretum, young explorers will hike, play, listen to stories, and engage in science and art activities. Program participants will explore these seasonal topics:

  • March: Cloudy with a Chance of Trees
  • April: Puddles and Petals
  • June: Mudpies and Dandelion Soup

This program meets in person at The Morton Arboretum.

Instructor: Kathryn Neuffer

Health and Safety: Program participants must abide by the Arboretum’s health and safety guidelines. Guidelines are subject to change, so please check back frequently.

Age: Children ages 18 to 35 months. An adult must accompany the child.

Kathryn Neuffer has a background in early childhood and special education. She enjoys introducing the Arboretum’s youngest visitors to the wonders of the outdoors and helping to increase children’s curiosity toward the natural world through play and hands-on experiences.
