Play, hike, and explore trees in this four-week outdoor adventure at The Morton Arboretum for children ages 18 to 35 months.

Content Detail

In this four-week outdoor adventure in the Children’s Garden, young explorers will play, hike, read stories, and discover new things about the trees and forest around us. Adults will receive tips to continue exploration at home.

This program meets in person at the Arboretum.

Instructor: Kathryn Neuffer, supervisor of early childhood programs, The Morton Arboretum

Age: Children ages 18 to 35 months. An adult must accompany the child.

Kathryn Neuffer has a background in early childhood and special education. She enjoys introducing the Arboretum’s youngest visitors to the wonders of the outdoors and helping to increase children’s curiosity toward the natural world through play and hands-on experiences.

What to Know

Wear shoes and clothes that can get dirty.

An adult must accompany the child.
