Members of The Morton Arboretum can join the Northern Illinois LEGO® Train Club for a presentation about how the club designs and builds their imaginative LEGO train layouts, followed by a hands-on workshop and an early viewing of the LEGO Trains Member Event display.
Participants will design and build a LEGO piece that they may take home or add to the weekend’s LEGO Trains display.
Both the Getting Started with LEGO Trains Workshop and the LEGO Trains Member Event are open exclusively to Morton Arboretum members. Become a member today.

Instructor
Jim Pirzyk, member, Northern Illinois LEGO® Train Club
Jim Pirzyk began building with LEGO® trains in 2009 after receiving the Emerald Night as a Christmas gift, though his love for universal building sets started much earlier. After spending years immersed in HO model trains, LEGO ultimately became the perfect creative outlet again. A member of NILTC and The Morton Arboretum since 2014, Jim now specializes in designing long trains, custom lighting, and realistic LEGO topography.
