Spring Wine Tasting

Savor seasonal wines among beautiful spring blooms at this wine tasting event.

Spend a beautiful spring afternoon sampling wine as you walk along the Meadow Lake, Frost Hill, and Conifer walking paths and stroll through the new Gerard T. Donnelly Grand Garden. You’ll enjoy the scenic tree-filled views as you choose from more than 80 varieties of wine to sample.

Each event ticket includes three hours of tasting and a souvenir glass. Food will be available for purchase from the Ginkgo Restaurant and Café in the Visitor Center as well as from Billy Bricks on Wheels Pizza Truck and Ma Maw’s Kitchen food trucks located near Arbor Court. VIP tickets will include early access to the event and an exclusive champagne and sparkling wine tasting, as well as access to a distinct selection of premium wines.

Once you’ve sampled and chosen your favorite wines, stop by the Famous Liquors tent to order your choices for pick up at a later date from their Forest Park location. Each purchase you make supports the Arboretum’s mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world, with 10% of all wine sales being donated back to The Morton Arboretum.

Nondrinking and underage guests may join ticket holders along the tasting route; they are required to reserve a timed-entry member pass or guest ticket before arriving.

Accessibility

The Wine Tasting takes place on a one-mile-long, paved walking path located near the Visitor Center and Parking Lot 1. This path is accessible for wheelchairs and walkers but does include a few hills. The tasting tables will be stationed on the grass within ten feet of the path.

Order Wine

After you sip, stop at the Famous Liquors tent and order your favorite wines. You will pick up your selections on a later date at Famous Liquors in Forest Park. Each purchase you make supports the Arboretum’s mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world, with 10% of all wine sales being donated back to The Morton Arboretum.

  • Yes, each participant will receive a souvenir wine glass.

  • This event will not feature live music.

  • Yes, the Ginkgo Restaurant will be open for indoor and outdoor seating from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be outdoor concessions available as well (weather permitting). The Ginkgo Café will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Art vendors will not be present at this event.

  • Since this is a daytime event during regular hours, those who are guests or Arboretum members and not drinking will need a regular daytime admission pass if they wish to join others attending this event. This applies to children as well. To purchase daytime admission tickets, click here. Admission must be obtained in advance. No ticket transactions can occur at the gatehouse. Those without tickets will be turned away.

    Please be sure to coordinate the entry time on Arboretum admission tickets with the entry date and time on your party’s Wine Tasting tickets if you intend to enjoy the event together.

  • No, alcohol is not permitted in the Children’s Garden.

  • No, there will be no additional samples available for purchase.

  • Yes, Arboretum admission is included with your Wine Tasting ticket. Visitors are allowed to remain on-site for the duration of the day. The Arboretum will close at sunset.
