In this bilingual program, urban agriculture expert David Toledo will guide participants in how to create a regenerative garden.
Through hands-on demonstrations of preparing beds for the winter and outlining the steps for nourishing soil for the season to come, participants will learn to create a long-term plan for a garden that flourishes year after year.
This program meets in person at the Arboretum.

David Toledo es un chicano queer, ecofeminista, nativo de Illinois y productor de alimentos. Fundó Contemporary Farmer, Inc. en 2019. Cultiva alimentos desde 2014. David Toledo is a queer Xicano, ecofeminist, a native Illinoian and a food grower. He founded Contemporary Farmer, Inc. in 2019. He has been growing food since 2014. He has a degree in sustainable community development with minors in sociology and social justice from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. He wants people to cultivate food year-round in Chicago or wherever they might be.
