In these guided outdoor walks with an Arboretum expert, explore the prairie and the features of prairie plants during the peak of their midsummer beauty. Learn to identify characteristic native prairie plants that are important for prairie restoration during the growing season and practice your plant identification skills in the field.

Sharon Yiesla is a horticulturist of 30 plus years. She has a BS in horticulture from Purdue and an MS from University of Illinois. She has worked with University Extension in Missouri and with University of Illinois Extension and is currently the plant knowledge specialist at The Morton Arboretum.
