Explore sensory-friendly and specialized resources to help all students connect to trees and nature.

Nature and green spaces provide lasting benefits for all learners, but finding ways to enhance outdoor learning for a variety of learners can be challenging at times. In this workshop, educators will hear from experts and learn about resources to help students connect with the outdoors through sensory-friendly and inclusive approaches.

Participants will spend portions of the day in breakout sessions, with some outdoor exploration to become familiar with sensory-friendly resources to use with students.

Educators will explore how nature and green spaces can enhance inclusive instruction, while also providing social and emotional support for a variety of learners.

This program meets in person at The Morton Arboretum. A portion of the workshop will take place outdoors. Participants should dress for light outdoor activities.
