Explore a dazzling display of more than 8,000 one-of-a-kind glass pumpkins in traditional and unique colors, shapes, and sizes at this annual celebration of autumn and show of world-class artistry at The Morton Arboretum.
The 16th annual Glass Pumpkin Patch opens to the public on Friday, October 9, and runs through Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Entrance to the Glass Pumpkin Patch is included with Arboretum general admission. Tickets for Arboretum general admission will be available to purchase on Tuesday, August 25.
The event is rain or shine. The Glass Pumpkin Patch will be located near the West Lawn next to the Arboretum’s Visitor Center.

Glass Pumpkin Patch Member Event
On Thursday, October 8, the ticketed, member-exclusive Glass Pumpkin Patch Member Event gives Arboretum members a chance to sneak a peek at this year’s glass creations, enjoy special seasonal concessions, and purchase their favorites before the sale opens to the public.
Shop the Glass Pumpkin Patch
The Glass Pumpkin Patch is open to the public from Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Glassblowing Demonstrations
Attend glassblowing demonstrations to watch how artists craft their glass treasures. Using traditional tools, fire from the furnace, and years of experience, the team of artists turn 2000º molten glass into beautiful art right before your eyes.
Flameworking Demonstrations
Attend flameworking demonstrations to see how glass artists use a technique known as flameworking to heat and shape glass rods into fall-themed miniatures, marbles, and beads.

Fall Color Concessions
As part of the Arboretum’s Fall Color Festival, special seasonal concessions are available in Arbor Court every Friday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., starting on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Enjoy a delicious lineup of autumn favorites—including freshly popped kettle corn, taffy apples, barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, apple cider doughnuts, and hot apple cider.

The Glass Pumpkin Patch Member Event takes place on Thursday, October 8—one day before the Glass Pumpkin Patch opens to the general public. This ticketed event is reserved for members and donors.

Glass Pumpkin Patch Member Event tickets must be purchased in advance, either online, by phone, or in person at the Visitor Center.
Member Event tickets offer early access to shop the Glass Pumpkin Patch and include one glass of wine or beer, coffee, and soda.
