For many home gardeners, plastic plant pots tend to accumulate quickly. If you have plastic garden pots to recycle, bring them to the Arboretum from Saturday, May 11, to Monday, May 20, 2024.
Whether you’ve just finished planting your purchases from the Arbor Day Plant Sale or have been collecting plastic pots in the garage for many seasons, recycling them is a great way to support a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world.
Look for a trailer marked “Plant Pot Recycling” in Parking Lot 1 on the Arboretum’s East Side.
Please rinse soil and potting mix from pots before you bring them for recycling.
Arboretum members may visit the Arboretum any time and proceed to the recycling location. Guests must purchase a general admission ticket.
