Iris Society Show

Experience nearly 100 varieties of beautifully blooming irises at the Iris Society Show.

Content Detail

The iris flower can be a representation of courage, hope, faith, and wisdom, with specific meaning attached to its different hues. We invite you to experience all of the beautiful colors that nature displays through this flower and learn the meaning behind their varied colors at this year’s Iris Society Show on Monday, May 27, 2024.

You’ll be able to talk with iris experts from the Northern Illinois Iris Society and choose the plant that is perfect for your home.

After you’re done seeing the show, take the time to explore the nearby Gerard T. Donnelly Grand Garden to see all of the shrubs, plants, and flowers on display.

Admission to the Iris Society Show is included with Arboretum general admission. Additional passes are not required. Members and guests visiting the Arboretum may view the blooms in the Sycamore Room from noon to 5:00 p.m.
