How It Works

During checkout, select a designated time slot to meet Gabby. This helps minimize wait times and allows families to explore The Morton Arboretum before and after their visits.

Arboretum general admission must be purchased in addition to Gabby meet-and-greet tickets. Buy general admission online to save time in line and save $2 per ticket.

Families will receive color‑coded wristbands that match the meet‑and‑greet time chosen at checkout. Families will be asked to line up shortly before their assigned time window, helping prevent long lines and allowing little fans to enjoy the Arboretum until it’s their turn to meet Gabby.

A friendly staff member will be at the front of the line to welcome each group and help everyone get their cameras ready so little fans can step right into their Gabby moment!

Plan Your Visit

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the Arboretum’s beautiful landscapes and activities before their scheduled meet-and-greet time.

After meeting Gabby, families are welcome to continue exploring the rest of the Arboretum’s 1,700-acre grounds, stop by the Gabby’s Dollhouse Fairylandia Pop-Up Shop, and enjoy the free, hands-on activities to make the most of their day.

Can’t Secure a Meet-and-Greet Spot? You Can Still Join the Fun!

If meet-and-greet time slots are full, there will still be plenty of Fairylandia magic to enjoy during Gabby’s visit to The Morton Arboretum.

Families are invited to take part in themed activities throughout the day, including a fun scavenger hunt, hands-on crafts, and interactive play experiences.

Explore the Arboretum’s 4-acre Children’s Garden, a nature playground offering many opportunities to run, climb, splash, and explore the outdoors.

Visit the Gabby’s Dollhouse Fairylandia Pop-Up Shop, try a new flavor from Kona Ice, and enjoy the start of summer with an awesome day filled with nature, creativity, and fun.

Accessibility

We recommend that guests with sensory concerns attend near the end of the day, when crowds will be reduced and music can be turned down to a lower volume upon request.

Parking lot P-1 has accessible parking spaces and is close to the Visitor Center. The distance from the furthest parking spot to the main entrance of the Visitor Center is one-quarter of a mile.

Accessible parking is available in parking lot P-1, which features a permeable concrete paver system that allows rainwater to pass through. These pavers are uneven, but the accessible parking spaces and pathways from parking lot P-1 to the Visitor Center have smooth pavers. Manual wheelchairs are available for loan by visiting the Information Desk inside the Visitor Center, as are other aids for guests with special needs.

Accessible restrooms are available in the Visitor Center and the nearby West Pavilion. Accessible restrooms in the Children’s Garden are open until 5:00 p.m. and in the West Pavilion until sunset.

The vast majority of the Children’s Garden is accessed by paved paths and accessible wooden bridges with a typical grade of 2%. Several areas of the garden have additional routes of entry by rope bridge, stairs, or ladders.
