Do you and your camper want to learn more about camp before it starts? Join us for the Summer Science Camps Open House at the Arboretum on Saturday, April 25, to prepare for your first day of camp!
We’ll go over what to expect during Summer Science Camps and cover topics such as:
- Parking
- Camp drop-off location
- What to bring to camp
- What to expect on Arboretum trails
- What happens when it rains
Details
We’ll meet from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thornhill Shelter, near parking lot P-21, on the Arboretum’s West Side. The open house will begin with activities—just like a camp day! See a map of how to get to parking lot P-21.
Then, we’ll circle up to chat with Arboretum camp staff, who will outline what a typical day of camp looks like and answer your questions about the camp experience.
To close, we’ll take a short hike on the nearby wood-chipped trails and tour the Thornhill Education Center, used as the camp rain location.
