Sensory-Friendly Times in the Children’s Garden

A quieter Children’s Garden experience for those with sensory needs.

Content Detail

Sensory-Friendly Times offer a relaxed Children’s Garden experience for those who need a quieter environment. On select Mondays, April through October, capacity in the Children’s Garden is limited to 75 people from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Sensory support backpacks containing headphones, fidgets, visuals, and other calming tools are available to borrow during your visit at no cost and by leaving an ID. Backpacks can be checked out in the Visitor Center or from any Children’s Garden staff member or volunteer.

The Children’s Garden works continually to remove barriers to participation in all programs. Learn more about sensory support resources that families can use to prepare for a visit.

Advance online sign-up is required. Sign up for Sensory-Friendly Times.
