Spring Wine Tasting

Savor seasonal wines amid beautiful spring blooms at this wine tasting event.

Spend a beautiful spring afternoon sampling from more than 80 varieties of wine as you stroll along The Morton Arboretum’s Meadow Lake Trail and admire the blooming seasonal display beds in Arbor Court.

Once you’ve sampled and selected your favorite wines, place an order to pick up the wine of your choosing at a later date. Each wine purchase you make supports The Morton Arboretum’s mission, with 10% of all wine sales being donated back to the Arboretum.

Event Highlights

Live music will be provided by Chicago Mule.

Concessions will be available to purchase in Arbor Court and on Tram Road during the event.

Breads, cheeses, baked goods, and crafts will be available to purchase from five artisan vendors.

Event tickets include entry to the Spring Wine Tasting event from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. Each ticket holder will enjoy 25 tastings and receive a commemorative tasting glass.

VIP tickets include early entry from 11:00 a.m. to noon, one hour before the event opens to regular ticket holders. VIP ticket holders can also craft their own mimosa using a variety of fresh fruit juices.

Designated driver tickets are not available for this event. Nondrinking attendees should purchase Arboretum general admission for Saturday, May 10.

Ticket holders also have the opportunity to order wine and spirits by the case at a 10% discount.

VIP tickets include early access at 11:00 a.m., one hour before the event opens to regular ticket holders. As a special welcome, VIP ticket holders can craft a custom mimosa using a variety of fresh fruit juices and Domaine Bousquet Brut organic sparkling wine.

Designated driver tickets are not available for this event. Nondrinking attendees should purchase Arboretum general admission for Saturday, May 10.

Food Options

Concessions will be available to purchase in Arbor Court and on Tram Road during the event.

Sourdough bread, baked goods, cheeses, and other artisanal products will be available to purchase from vendors.

Food and beverages are also available at the Ginkgo Restaurant and the Ginkgo Café, both located in the Visitor Center. The Ginkgo Restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Ginkgo Café offers prepackaged salads and sandwiches, bakery items, espresso beverages, hot tea, and drip coffee.

Order Wine

After sampling, order your favorite wine and spirits by the case at a 10% discount.

The Morton Arboretum will receive 10% of all wine and spirit purchases as a donation. Each ticket or wine purchase helps support a greener, healthier, more beautiful world where people and trees thrive together.

Order pick-up will take place on Thursday, May 22, and Friday, May 23, in the Arbor Room of the Thornhill Education Center on the Arboretum’s West Side.

Home shipping is available for an additional fee.

Will there be a souvenir glass?

Yes, all regular and VIP ticket holders receive a souvenir wine glass.
Will there be live music?

Yes, this event will feature live music by Chicago Mule.
Will food be available?

Concessions will be available to purchase in Arbor Court for the duration of the event; attendees may purchase additional food and beverages from the Ginkgo Restaurant and Café until the Visitor Center closes at 6:00 p.m. Artisan breads, cheeses, and baked goods will be available from specialty vendors.
Are Designated Driver tickets available?

Can I purchase additional samples during the event?

No, there will be no additional samples available for purchase.
Will there be art vendors present?

Five artisan vendors will sell handcrafted goods and food products. Fine art vendors will not be present at this event.
