In this four-session watercolor class, find inspiration and celebrate the animals that call The Morton Arboretum home in the winter. Join nature artist Jill Adzia in a friendly, supportive environment to learn about the form and structure of these beautiful creatures and how to use composition and perspective to depict them in watercolors.
Working under the guidance of the instructor, participants will:
- Practice color mixing and blending
- Create color washes using wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting techniques
- Learn about color layering
By the end of the program, participants will have created several watercolor pieces that showcase the Arboretum’s winged and furry residents. All supplies will be provided. If you have your own watercolor supplies, you are welcome to use them.
This program meets in person at the Arboretum.
