Participants will:

  • Learn how to harness the natural growth habits of sedges and highlight their best attributes in the landscape
  • Explore effective ways to use different sedge varieties across a range of garden and landscape microclimates
  • Gain practical strategies for addressing common challenges that both professionals and home gardeners encounter when working with sedges

Chris Baran is the founder of Resilient Design and has a background in sustainable landscapes. Baran teaches Perennial Plant Communities in the Horticulture School at College of DuPage and regularly speaks with professional organizations, nonprofits, and garden groups about native plants, perennial garden design, and garden stewardship.
