Healthy soil is the foundation of a bountiful garden. This live, online class will cover the fundamentals of healthy soil structure and how you can improve the quality of your harvest from the ground up by caring for your soil.

The class will cover:

  • The cultural contexts of soil care
  • Organic methods of improving soil quality
  • Getting started with composting
  • Building biomass—organic material that can be used for renewable energy
  • How to care for soil through all seasons

Learn to improve and maintain your soil’s health to keep your garden producing healthy, fruitful plants year after year.

This program meets live online. This program will be presented in both English and Spanish.

nateo carreno’s community disciplines are in soil remediation, plants, and nature. With those disciplines, they tend to the relational filaments between soil, nature, people, and queerness that a commitment to Western and imperial ideologies has historically degraded.
