Multimedia Botanical Art

Explore new media and diversify your nature art skills.

Content Detail

Do you have a go-to art form, but are curious about delving into another medium? In this intermediate to advanced nature art course, students will work with a different medium each week to capture the forms and textures of botanical subjects.

Inspired by specimens collected from the grounds of The Morton Arboretum, students will expand their art skills and learn various techniques for the following media:

  • Graphite
  • Graphite and watercolor
  • Dry brush watercolor
  • Gouache

Whether you are well-versed in these art forms or want to experiment with something new, join artist Suzanne Wegener in this encouraging environment to broaden and hone your nature art skills. Each week, participants will create a finished piece of art in a different medium.

This program meets in person at the Arboretum.
