Introduction to Chinese Papercut Flowers

Create art inspired by seasonal flowers using Chinese paper cutting techniques.

Content Detail

Join educator Yvonne Wolf for a hands-on introduction to Chinese papercut flowers, an ancient artform dedicated to appreciating intricate design in nature. Participants will gain a deeper awareness of math, design, and traditional seasonal flowers in the Chinese world—such as the iris, peony, lotus, and chrysanthemum. Several designs and templates will be available to work from during this single-session program, and each participant will leave with detailed instructions for completing a Chinese papercut flower project at home.

This program meets in person at the Arboretum.
