Join this one-day workshop to compose colorful garden photographs that celebrate summer blooms. Participants will start the morning in the classroom to learn the principles of intimate garden photography with plenty of inspirational examples. Then it’s time to head outdoors into the beautiful gardens of the Arboretum to practice under the guidance of your instructor. End the day with a review of student photos and take away key ideas to apply toward your future photography. A DSLR or SLR camera is required; smartphone photography will not be addressed.

This program meets in person at the Arboretum.

Erica Benson has been a professional photographer since 2000 and a photography instructor since 2007. She is passionate about her field and looks forward to sharing her experience with her students.

Appropriate for beginning photographers and those looking to hone their skills.
