Hunt for producers, consumers, and decomposers in three different ecosystems with hands-on activities and experience this popular Eco Explorers field trip program. Engage in hands-on activities, just like our field trip students do, to compare the unique characteristics of living things in each ecosystem.

The Arboretum’s education program guides are experienced professional educators and naturalists with a deep knowledge of the trails and ecology of The Morton Arboretum.

What to Know

This program meets outdoors. Check the forecast and dress for the weather.

Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and plan to walk more than a mile on uneven terrain.
