Bike rental availability varies depending on the time of year. Rentals are available:
- On weekends only during May
- Daily from Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day), through Monday, September 7 (Labor Day)
- On weekends only from Tuesday, September 8, through Sunday, October 25
- On Indigenous People’s Day (Monday, October 12)
Bike rental hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise stated. The last rental start time is 3:00 p.m.
Rental costs vary depending on the equipment rented and the length of the rental period.
Rental Reservations
We recommend reserving bike rentals online and in advance, as equipment is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please use “The Morton Arboretum” as your location when reserving your equipment.
Please note that Arboretum general admission is not included with bike rental reservations and must be purchased separately.

The bike rental station is located just outside the main entrance to the Visitor Center on the Arboretum’s East Side.
Guests are welcome to bring their own bicycles to ride on paved roads at the Arboretum.
Bike racks are at the following locations:
- Visitor Center (parking lot P-1)
- Big Rock Visitor Station (parking lot P-13)
- Thornhill Education Center (parking lot P-21)
- Prairie Visitor Station (parking lot P-25)
