Sparrows of DuPage County

Identify local sparrows with a birding expert.

Content Detail

Learn how to identify the sparrows found along woodland edges, wetlands, and grasslands during this birding class with The Morton Arboretum. Some of the more difficult-to-find species such as Nelson’s sharp-tailed sparrow, LeConte’s sparrow, and Harris’ sparrow will be sought as you learn about habitat preferences and timing of migration.

The first class will take place at The Morton Arboretum, laying the groundwork for two nearby field sessions in DuPage County. Driving directions will be provided during the first class.

This program meets in person at the Arboretum.
