Visitors are encouraged to see a new installation along Meadow Lake Trail, the Señorita Mariposa Story Walk. Señorita Mariposa is a Spanish-English bilingual book by author, musician, and early childhood educator MISTER G. The story, told in playful rhyme and brought to life by illustrator Marcos Almada Rivero, follows the extraordinary migration of a monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico.
From September 15 through the end of October, 2024, each gorgeously illustrated page of Señorita Mariposa will be displayed on large-scale panels along Meadow Lake Trail.
The Arboretum hosts MISTER G for a performance of his original songs for children, Young Author Q&A, and book signing on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Entrance to MISTER G at the Arboretum is included with Arboretum admission.
