Journey through the world of edible flowers with this photo-based presentation from Marcy Lautanen-Raleigh of Backyard Patch Herbs. Discover the delicious flavors and beneficial properties of many common garden plants.
Learn about over 20 edible flowers—like daylilies, anise hyssop, and flowering herbs—and get tips on how to harvest, preserve, and prepare them. We’ll also discuss the culinary and medicinal properties of purslane and garlic mustard.
At the end of the presentation, participants will be provided with suggested plant lists and a selection of recipes to try.
This program meets in person at the Arboretum.
