Carefully-sourced cacao can foster positive social, economic, and ecological change in addition to producing a fabulous flavor.

In this presentation, learn how responsible sourcing helps to sustain the rich rainforest biomes where cacao trees flourish, ensure that local farmers and their families can economically prosper, and can help support chocolate makers in rescuing rare strains of cacao from the edge of extinction.

During this 45-minute presentation, participants will taste selections from acclaimed artisans who are leading the way with sustainable and equitable practices in cacao cultivation.

Kim Hack, founder, Cocoa + Co.

Kim Hack has been dreaming about chocolate her whole life, so it’s no surprise she eventually managed to make it her business. Her journey to working with chocolate included roles in advertising, consumer goods, the oil business, and the world of wine. In 2015, she embraced the sweet life and opened Cocoa + Co. Hack recently sold her chocolate café to focus on her passion for teaching and speaking about all things chocolate.
