After wrapping up a series of 14 curriculum workshops, we are now seeking feedback as we move into the next phase of the Arborversity Horticulture Training Program: crafting a curriculum framework!
Even if you did not participate in the curriculum workshops, we would still greatly value your input during this next stage of the project. We are looking for contributions from individuals who have some responsibility for training horticulture staff and/or volunteers at organizations of all types, sizes, and regions.
We are currently seeking feedback for the following topics: mulching, weather safety, and plant identification.
If you’d like to provide feedback, please complete this form.
The feedback process should take about 20 minutes and involves a brief series of questions that evaluate the relevance, applicability, and clarity of a topic of your choosing and its corresponding learning objectives. Once completed, we will use your feedback to edit and refine our curriculum framework to reflect what we’ve learned from you.
The final curriculum framework will include a comprehensive list of training topics, recommendations for learning “levels,” and specific learning objectives. This framework will then be translated into both eLearning materials as well as facilitators’ guides to accompany the curriculum and provide guidance for managers who want to implement it at their organizations.
We are committed to creating a comprehensive curriculum framework that will be valuable and constructive for public garden professionals. Your feedback will help us achieve that goal!
