Letter from the President and CEO
Arboretum Friends and Supporters,
For The Morton Arboretum, 2021 was a year of renewal and anticipation. Even as the coronavirus pandemic continued, the Arboretum was able to successfully resume and introduce new educational programs and events, welcome a million guests on-site, and begin new initiatives–including construction of The Grand Garden–all while making a substantial impact for trees and people in the Chicago region and beyond. Leading up to its centennial year in 2022, the Arboretum has been growing stronger than ever.
The successes of the past year, and of the Arboretum’s first century, have been achieved with the dedicated efforts of staff, volunteers, and partners along with generous support from trustees, donors, members, and guests. That ongoing support also makes it possible to transcend challenges, reach and celebrate the centennial milestone, and prepare for the Arboretum’s very promising second century ahead.
I thank you for valuing trees and supporting The Morton Arboretum in 2021 and into its bright future.
With appreciation,
