LISLE, Ill. (April 9, 2026) – The Morton Arboretum has been named one of USA TODAY’s Top Workplaces for 2026, marking the second consecutive year the organization’s entire staff team has received this prestigious national recognition. The honor builds on the Arboretum’s continued momentum as a leading employer, following five consecutive years as a regional Top Workplace recognized by the Chicago Tribune and multiple national culture and engagement awards.
The USA TODAY Top Workplace award is based entirely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential third-party survey administered by Energage, measuring key elements of workplace culture, including feeling respected and supported, opportunities for growth and alignment with organizational values.
“This esteemed award directly reflects the dedication and commitment of the Arboretum’s talented employees to our mission—and to each other,” said Arboretum President and CEO Jill Koski. “Together, we are creating an environment where people feel valued, supported and inspired to do meaningful work as we advance our vision of a greener, healthier, more beautiful world where people and trees thrive together.”
In addition to this national recognition, the Arboretum was named a Top Workplace regionally by the Chicago Tribune in 2025 for the fifth consecutive year, and received multiple national Top Workplaces cultural awards for Employee Appreciation, Professional Development, Employee Well-Being and Woman-Led Organization. Also in 2025, the Arboretum was recognized among Energage’s Top Workplaces for Hospitality, highlighting its leadership within the cultural attractions sector.
These honors reinforce the ongoing commitment by the Arboretum’s entire staff team to fostering a people-first workplace culture where employees can thrive, grow, and contribute to meaningful environmental and community impact.
