Temperate Asia Collection Member Trail Mixer

Meet fellow Arboretum members and explore the plants of temperate Asia.

Content Detail

The Temperate Asia Collection Member Trail Mixer invites members of The Morton Arboretum to explore the Arboretum’s collections of plants native to China, Japan, and Korea, on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Asia has some of the most diverse plant life in the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, and many plants that often are featured in American landscapes and gardens originate there, from the dawn redwood and ginkgo to forsythia and rhododendron.

Arboretum members will enjoy a flexible, self-paced hike between interactive learning stops that highlight four notable areas within the collection. The hike follows a mostly woodchipped path approximately three quarters of a mile long.

Take in gorgeous landscapes, walk among the springtime trees, and interact with knowledgeable guides to learn more about these unique plants and the Arboretum’s ongoing conservation efforts.

Whether you’re new to the Arboretum or have visited many times before, this free event is a great way to connect with fellow members and explore some of the Arboretum’s 16-mile network of trails.
