Come to The Morton Arboretum on Friday, August 2 for a round of mini golf and beer on tap, and stay for a special event focused on studying, appreciating, and protecting birds. Watch a professional falconer hold and fly trained birds, take a photo with a falcon, and find out how to get involved with bird watching clubs and bird fostering organizations in your area.

Experts from DuPage Birding Club and the Ohio School of Falconry will be on-site to answer questions for the duration of the event.

Each Birdies and Brews ticket includes one round of Wonder Woods Mini Golf and two drinks from Off Color Brewing in Chicago, IL. Nonalcoholic options from Go Brewing will also be available. This event is for individuals ages 21 and older.

Timed-entry tickets are required for this event, and must be purchased in advance through the Arboretum’s website.

Attendees must select an available 30-minute time slot between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to complete a round on the Wonder Woods Mini Golf course. Before and after the reserved time, attendees can enjoy the other event activities.

Event Details

Whether you’re a longtime amateur ornithologist or looking to learn about the birds in your backyard, stop by to speak with experts from DuPage Birding Club.

A professional falconer from the Ohio School of Falconry will demonstrate how to hold and fly trained birds. Photos with trained birds will be offered at no extra cost.

Food Options

Bakery items, salads, and sandwiches may be purchased until 6:00 p.m. at the Ginkgo Café. Espresso beverages, hot tea, and drip coffee are also available.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from a food truck at the event. The ticket purchase includes two drinks from Off-Color Brewing or Go Brewing.
