In the summer of 2025, children and families created their own works of art inspired by the large-scale sculptures in the Arboretum’s exhibition, Vivid Creatures.

The Vivid Creations Art Workshop is now closed as of September 1, 2025.

Vivid Creations Art Workshop was open on weekends throughout the summer. The workshop focused on making art with different materials. Each month, workshop materials and creations were inspired by a different Vivid Creatures sculpture— from the wide, feathery wings of Cadence, the sandhill crane, to the shiny, colorful shell of Spectra, the brittle button snail.

This drop-in program was included with Arboretum general admission.

The Vivid Creations Art Workshop was held in the Children’s Garden on the Arboretum’s East Side.

Ages: Recommended for ages 2 and up
