The Sterling Morton Library is a treasure trove of tree-centric resources that you can explore while visiting The Morton Arboretum–or discover from the comfort of your own home. But where is the library? What will you find there? And how can you navigate its vast collections? Learn the answers to these questions and more in this free, self-paced, on-demand course!

How Online Learning Works:

  • When you enroll in the course, you will be emailed instructions for accessing Treelearning, the Arboretum’s online learning portal.  Unless otherwise noted, you will have access to the course for 60 days from the course start date. 
  • Log into treelearning.mortonarb.org to complete self-paced activities, such as e-learning modules, reading material, short videos, interactive activities, and quizzes to check your understanding. 
  • The self-paced activities do not need to be completed in one sitting, and your instructor will not be online with you. 
  • Participants must have access to the internet via a computer or mobile device.
  • A unique email address for each participant is required at registration. 
  • The self-paced modules will take approximately 22 minutes. The course does not need to be completed in one sitting.
