Learn how to identify the sparrows found along woodland edges, wetlands, and grasslands. Some of the more difficult-to-find species, such as Nelson’s sharp-tailed sparrow, LeConte’s sparrow, and Harris’ sparrow, will be sought as you learn about habitat preferences and the timing of migration.
The first class will take place at the Arboretum, laying the groundwork for two nearby field sessions in DuPage County. Driving directions will be provided during the first class.
