The Gateway to Tree Science exhibit, located on The Morton Arboretum’s East Side, is a living experiment showcasing our research and demonstrating the “why” behind tree care best practices. Visiting the Gateway can guide homeowners and professionals alike to make decisions that will help trees thrive in our landscapes. This self-paced, online course is intended as an overview of this Arboretum destination and a jumping-off place for deeper dives into specific topics like selecting and planting trees, pruning, and watering.
How Self-Paced Online Classes Work
To access the class, you will log into TreeLearning, the Arboretum’s online learning portal. Instructions for accessing TreeLearning will be sent to registrants by email from treelearning@mortonarb.org upon registration. You have access to the course for 60 days and can complete the materials anytime.
Complete the self-paced e-learning modules with reading material, short videos, interactive activities, and quizzes to check your understanding.
The course will take approximately 30 minutes. The online materials do not need to be completed in one sitting.
There will not be an instructor online with you.
