Begin your journey into nature art with this comprehensive six-week course designed for beginners on the beautiful grounds of The Morton Arboretum. Using natural materials for inspiration, this program will cover:
- Useful supplies for new artists
- How to draw what you see
- The importance of value and lighting
- Drawing fundamentals such as composition and the color wheel
Each session will include demonstrations, practice time, and one-on-one guidance in a friendly, supportive environment. All supplies are included!

With a BS in ornamental horticulture and a lifetime of art classes, Kathy Steere was thrilled when she discovered botanical art. She is comfortable with different styles, many mediums, and assorted subject matter. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others and believes that art should be fun!
