Arboretum members with 10 or more consecutive years of membership are invited to the annual Perennial Partner Recognition Week.

Mark your calendar for the 2025 Perennial Partner Recognition Week, Sunday, June 1, through Thursday, June 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, June 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you have supported the Arboretum as a member for 10 or more consecutive years, you are recognized as a Perennial Partner. Thank you for being among the Arboretum’s most dedicated supporters!

The Arboretum celebrates its Perennial Partners through the year, along with a special week of exclusive benefits and programs.

Exclusive Benefits

During this special week, Perennial Partners are invited to visit the Arboretum for a range of exclusive benefits:

  • Special programming and free Acorn Express Tram tours
  • Free coffee, tea, or iced tea
  • Free entry in daily drawings for Arboretum prizes (stop at the Perennial Partner table in the Visitor Center)
  • Ginkgo Restaurant and Café discounts of 10% off for Individual, Dual, Senior, and Household-level members, and 15% off for Tree Advocate and higher level members daily (just show your Perennial Partner punch card)
  • An additional 10% discount (in addition to your member discount) at The Arboretum Store on any one day of your choosing during Perennial Partner Recognition Week
  • Two free glasses of wine or beer per household one day of the week, redeemable starting at noon

Schedule of Events

These exclusive events and activities are free with registration. Registration for activities is required and opens in the Visitor Center starting at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Registration is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

All events are subject to change and cancellation. Arbor Evenings requires an additional event ticket purchase.

Sunday, June 1

Schulenberg Prairie Open House

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Join Arboretum docents for this drop-in program. Explore a hands-on booth in the Prairie Visitor Station and the Schulenberg Prairie itself (parking at Parking Lot 25).

West Side Tram Tours

1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
Discover the beauty of the Arboretum’s West Side on this 30-minute tour that departs from the Tribute Walkway outside the Visitor Center.

 

Monday, June 2

East Side Tram Tours

9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., noon, and 1:00 p.m.

Discover the beauty of the Arboretum’s East Side on this 30-minute tour that departs from the Tribute Walkway outside the Visitor Center.

Around the Sterling Morton Library in Eight Trees

1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

Visit the Arboretum’s treasured Sterling Morton Library and learn about eight trees, their significance, and where you can find them.

 

Tuesday, June 3

East Side Tram Tours

9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and noon

Discover the beauty of the Arboretum’s East Side on this 30-minute tour that departs from the Tribute Walkway outside the Visitor Center.

Science Presentation: Global Tree Conservation Program

1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Meet staff from the Arboretum’s Global Tree Conservation Program and learn how they are leading efforts to secure the world’s threatened tree species from extinction.

 

Wednesday, June 4

Science Presentation: Tree Conservation Biology

1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Learn about the work of the Tree Conservation Biology team in its quest to gain knowledge and lead actions to provide a better future for threatened trees while also mentoring future tree scientists.

 

Thursday, June 5

Plant Clinic Native Plant Identification

10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m.

Walk Meadow Lake with one of the Arboretum’s Plant Clinic experts and learn the basics of plant identification.

West Side Tram Tours

From Seed to Solution: A Guided Tour of Trees and Green Living

10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and noon

Take a tree tour around Meadow Lake with Arboretum director of sustainability Rachel Novick. Learn about the unique lessons each tree has to offer about living sustainably and how the Arboretum is working to infuse sustainability into every aspect of its operations.

Daily Prize Drawing

Check in at the Perennial Partner table in the Visitor Center to be automatically entered to win the daily prize. Winners will be notified the following day by phone or email. Please note that all drawing prizes have no cash value and are subject to change.
