Please note: Troll Hunt closed June 2020. The newest art exhibition at The Morton Arboretum is Vivid Creatures, colorful sculptures as tall as trees.
From 2018 to 2020, visitors to The Morton Arboretum hunted for six colossal trolls crafted from reclaimed wood by Danish artist Thomas Dambo.
Resembling the trolls of European folklore, the 15- to 30-foot-tall (and one 60-foot long) sculptures were created to serve as protectors of our environment.
The troll sculptures were located throughout The Morton Arboretum’s 1,700 acres.
The Troll Hunt exhibition ran from the spring of 2018 to the summer of 2020.
