Vivid Creations Art Workshop

Create, make art, and be inspired by the Arboretum’s new exhibition, Vivid Creatures.

Content Detail

Children and families can create their own works of art inspired by the large-scale sculptures in the Arboretum’s newest exhibition, Vivid Creatures, in this free artmaking program in the Arboretum’s Children’s Garden.

Open on weekends throughout the summer, the Vivid Creations Art Workshop will focus on making art with different materials. Each month, workshop materials and creations will be inspired by a different Vivid Creatures sculpture— from the wide, feathery wings of Cadence, the sandhill crane, to the shiny, colorful shell of Spectra, the brittle button snail.

The art Vivid Creations Art Workshop will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting May 24, through September 1, 2025.

This drop-in program is free and included with Arboretum general admission. No registration is necessary.

The Vivid Creations Art Workshop will be held in the Children’s Garden on the Arboretum’s East Side.

Ages: Recommended for ages 2 and up
