Conveniently located approximately 25 miles from Chicago, The Morton Arboretum features an award-winning Children’s Garden, Maze Garden, and 16 miles of hiking trails. Whether you seek a quiet stroll or an active family adventure, the Arboretum offers a variety of exhibitions, activities, events, and classes for all ages to enjoy.

Guests are required to buy general admission tickets online before arriving at the Arboretum. Purchasing admission takes just a few minutes and can be done with a smartphone or computer. Members may enter at any time without admission tickets by showing their current physical or digital membership card at the gatehouse.

All admission fees include parking. The Arboretum grounds are open 365 days a year. Buildings are open daily, except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; closed at 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Please leave dogs and other pets at home, except on specially designated days. Service animals are welcome, including animals-in-training. See the accessibility guide for more information.

  • Yes, group rates can be offered on orders of 15 or more people purchasing tickets in a single transaction. Purchasing Group Admission allows access to a discounted rate and makes check-in at the gatehouse easier than with General Admission. Group Admission can also be planned, purchased, and reserved further out than General Admission is available, allowing groups the opportunity to finalize their plans well ahead of time.

  • Yes, all guests, including children and infants, must buy general admission tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased in minutes using a smartphone or computer.

    Members may enter The Morton Arboretum at any time by showing their current physical or digital membership card at the gatehouse.

    Members may purchase general admission tickets for $5 for guests who visit with them.

  • Guests and members may stay and explore the Arboretum until closing at sunset.
