Learn what it takes to be a good citizen in the world. Compare the rights we have in the United States with the rights of two other countries. Study these two countries, and explore their natural resources and effects on the global economy.

  • Notes: Homework is required between sessions. This class is designed for boy scouts working on their merit badge requirements. Limit 14. Open to ages 11 to 17.
  • Reading: Citizenship in the World Merit Badge Booklet is required.

Kelly Burns has been teaching at The Arboretum since 2014. Earning a biology degree in 1995, she has enjoyed a wide variety of jobs such as bat researcher, merit badge counselor, animal keeper, and teacher. Kelly draws upon her experience and passion to help people understand and appreciate the natural world.
