Tales from a Birder: The Quest for 5,000 Birds (online)

Join global birder Denis Kania as he recounts tales from his quest to see 5,000 birds.

Content Detail

Traveling the world to locate and identify 5,000 bird species certainly has its ups and downs. From moments of frustration to moments of awe-inspiring reward, the stories from the journey are great and, sometimes, hard to believe.

Participants will be entertained by tales of world travel, of visits to far-flung places such as Papua New Guinea in search of birds of paradise, of adventures such as his encounter with a spitting cobra near his tent in Zambia and an attack by an unlikely assailant in the Amazonian foothills of Ecuador. Learn about and delight in the amazing spectrum of the world’s birds, and leave inspired to add to your own species list.

This program will take place live on Zoom. A recording will be available to registered participants afterwards.
