Seasons of the Schulenberg Photography Exhibit

Experience a photographic celebration of the 60th anniversary of The Morton Arboretum’s Schulenberg Prairie by The Morton Arboretum Photographic Society.

Content Detail

The member-run Morton Arboretum Photographic Society (MAPS) and Sterling Morton Library at The Morton Arboretum will host a photographic and historical tribute to the Arboretum’s Schulenberg Prairie October 12 through 16. The exhibit will feature 50 matted photographic prints of the Schulenberg Prairie including images of the most recent prescribed burn, native wildlife, bloom succession, plants, flowers, the savanna, Willoway Brook, and trees throughout all four seasons. A slide show of more than 90 additional prairie images will be continuously displayed on a large monitor in the library. Sterling Morton Library will feature historical items and photographs documenting the conception, hard work, and perseverance that transformed the prairie from a fallow field to the abundant ecosystem it is today.

Exhibit hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, in Sterling Morton Library at The Morton Arboretum. Admission is free with paid entry to The Morton Arboretum or for Arboretum members.
