Learn how to compose great nature photos in this online class from The Morton Arboretum. Nature photography is a great way to remember and share your time outdoors. Improve your nature photos by applying the principles of good composition. 

Geared toward the new photographer, this interactive class will introduce you to the basic principles of good composition. Over the course of this class, your instructor will 

  • show examples of great composition in nature photography and why they work,
  • share the foundational guidelines for composing your photos, and
  • provide practice activities and feedback.

Whether you use a DSLR or a smartphone, this class is appropriate for any camera you use.

Cora Jacobs is both a nature and street photographer. She has been teaching at The Morton Arboretum since 2012. She is a member of the Morton Arboretum Photographic Society. She also teaches magazine production at Columbia College Chicago.
