Learn how to use watercolor and gouache, traditional mediums in botanical art, to create detailed paintings of spring flowers. In this six-week intermediate class at The Morton Arboretum, you will
- create paintings using dry brush techniques
- learn how to use watercolor in a controlled manner
- use gouache, an opaque watercolor, to enhance botanical details.
Each session will begin with a demonstration from your instructor. Then you will have time in class to practice the demonstrated technique, working from a different live specimen each week.
