Flowers in Glass Mosaic (in person)

Use colored glass to create an explosion of flowers in full bloom in your own, personalized mosaic.

Content Detail

Use colored glass to create an explosion of flowers in full bloom in your own personalized mosaic.

This two-day, hands-on workshop covers cutting methods and strategies, proper adhesives, substrates, design and layout, and grouting. Your instructor will demonstrate a variety of flower types and mosaic techniques that you can choose to include in your own project.

Learn about the effects that transparency, light, and color create with mosaic on glass. Complete a 9″X 7″ framed, clear-glass substrate that will convey the same beauty and qualities of stained glass, but with mosaic techniques.

Display your finished piece near a window, where it will catch the light of the sun and bring a splash of whimsy to your indoor space.

All materials are included! Some specialty glass pieces and tools will also be available for purchase.

COVID-19 Precautions: Program participants must abide by the Arboretum’s safety guidelines

Notes:

Held outdoors under a covered shelter. Mosaic supplies and use of tools are included, though you are welcome to bring personal items (jewelry, glass fragments, small tiles) of your own to incorporate. Limit 25
