You’re invited! Evergreen: The Gala for The Morton Arboretum

Last year, Evergreen: The Gala for The Morton Arboretum went virtual, and the support received from at-home viewers was extraordinary. This year, you can support this important Arboretum fundraising event in two ways: by attending in person on Saturday, September 18, or by watching the at-home virtual program that same evening at 7:00 p.m. (central time).

“Moving the gala online last year became necessary for everyone’s safety in the coronavirus pandemic,” says Kathleen Spiess, vice president of development. “The online presentation was so popular and raised so much in needed funds for the Arboretum’s mission that we knew we wanted to offer it again, even if we are also able to hold the event in person. We’re excited to be able to engage donors, members, and visitors through both formats in 2021.”

Whether you already have plans to join us in person or will be enjoying the at-home program from the comfort of your couch, the auction is now open and ready to take your bids! Exciting auction prizes this year include a home lighting display, “My Home Illumination”; the opportunity to camp overnight at the Arboretum; private group parties in the Children’s Garden, and during Illumination: Tree Lights at The Morton Arboretum; and more!

The 2021 Evergreen Host Committee is led by Susan and Chris Burke of Naperville; Sterling and Zech Decker of St. Charles; Lee Ann and Mark Gossett of Naperville; Angela and Jim Jensen of La Grange; Tom Tyler and Chris Bobowski of Elmhurst; Liz and Steve Van Arsdell of Naperville; Kristyn and Michael Van Eekeren of Naperville: and Oriana and Adam Van Someren of Naperville.
